3DA Terms of Service

Who these terms cover
MC Media LLC provides 3DA, the 3DA.app website and browser viewer, and the 3DA - 3D Scanner plugin for ChatGPT where available. These terms describe the conditions for using those products. Your applicable App Store app license and the terms of platforms you use, including Apple and OpenAI, also apply. These terms do not replace those agreements or reduce rights that applicable law gives you.
Use 3DA responsibly
Use 3DA lawfully and only where you have the permissions needed to capture, use, or share the space, objects, images, and information involved. Respect other people's privacy and intellectual property. Meet the age and permission requirements of the platforms you use, including any required parent or guardian permission.
Do not use 3DA to harass others, unlawfully monitor them, distribute malicious files, gain unauthorized access, or interfere with the products or their safeguards. Do not include passwords, access tokens, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or private health records in material you send for support or AI analysis.
Understand the scan and AI limitations
Scans, detected objects, dimensions, areas, and reports are approximate. Capture can miss surfaces or contain incomplete or incorrect geometry. Room Model furniture and finishes can be representative; observed point clouds show captured depth samples and do not establish hidden surfaces or complete coverage.
AI-generated explanations, calculations, and recommendations may also be incomplete or incorrect. Check the evidence, units, assumptions, and results before relying on them. A file being attached does not establish that every part was read or that every model format can be analyzed.
Check critical fits and dimensions in the real space before purchasing, installing, renovating, or making safety-related decisions. Paint estimates depend on the surfaces included, opening deductions, number of coats, the chosen product's coverage, surface condition, and allowance. Confirm the manufacturer's instructions and available package sizes before buying. 3DA outputs do not guarantee fit, paint sufficiency, structural suitability, or compliance with building requirements, and do not replace a verified survey or appropriate professional advice.
Your content and sharing choices
As between you and MC Media LLC, you keep any ownership rights you hold in your scans, photos, measurements, prompts, and exported content. These terms do not transfer ownership of that content to us or grant us a general right to reuse it for unrelated purposes. Rights in the 3DA software, branding, and third-party materials remain with their respective owners.
The current native app saves captures on your device. You decide whether to share selected text, a report, individual files, or a complete selected scan package. Exports can include photos, room geometry, models, point clouds when available, measurements, and identifying details. Review what you are sending and make sure you have the right to share it.
When you paste or attach content in ChatGPT, you provide it to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's applicable terms, privacy policy, and your account settings govern its handling of that content. Other recipients, storage services, and device-backup providers have their own policies. MC Media LLC does not control those providers' retention or deletion and cannot retrieve or erase copies you have sent to them.

Availability and backups
Capture requires compatible hardware, software, and the permissions needed for the selected mode. Features and file support can differ by device, app version, ChatGPT account, and available tools. A link does not guarantee automatic app opening, scan transfer, or return to a conversation.
Keep your own copies of important captures before removing the app or its data. Features may change or be interrupted. These terms do not promise that every feature will remain available indefinitely.
Your rights and changes to these terms
Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights, remedies, or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be limited. We will post revisions here with an updated effective date. Revisions are subject to applicable notice and consent requirements and do not remove rights that already accrued.
