3DA.app / Privacy
Your space.
Your choice.
Effective October 12, 2026. 3DA is provided by MC Media LLC. For privacy questions, email mickey@witlocked.com.
Your scans stay with you
3DA processes and stores room scans, object scans, photos, measurements, prompts, and reports on your device. The app does not require an account or upload this content to MC Media LLC. Camera and LiDAR access support capture. You can manage camera access in your device settings.
No in-app tracking
The app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs. MC Media LLC does not collect scan content or usage data through the app. Apple may process App Store, TestFlight, and diagnostic information according to your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy.
Sharing is your decision
When you export or share, the selected files may include photos, room geometry, measurements, structured context, and your prompt. Check them before sending. Your chosen recipient, storage provider, or AI service handles that information under its own policies. 3DA does not send a report to an AI service automatically.
Analysis through the server-backed ChatGPT plugin
ChatGPT reads the files you choose to attach. If you authorize room analysis or a paint calculation through 3DA MCP, only the selected structured measurements and confirmed paint inputs are sent to 3DA. These can include dimensions, relative geometry and transforms, and confidence information. The ZIP archive, photos, room names, source filenames, and temporary file links are not sent to these tools. ChatGPT’s file storage and processing remain separate.
The measurement tools process each request in memory and return the result to ChatGPT. Our application does not save these measurement payloads or results, pair accounts, or create a saved scan library. This describes our application’s behavior, not a guarantee about OpenAI storage or hosting-provider logging and backups.
We use aggregate service counters to limit traffic and monitor failures. These counters do not include scan content, filenames, file links, IP addresses, or user identifiers. They rotate each UTC day while the service or its cleanup job runs; an outage can delay rotation.
Retention and deletion
Saved captures remain on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app and its data. Exported copies and device backups are managed separately by you and the providers you use. MC Media LLC cannot retrieve or delete copies that you have sent to others.
Hosting and the local viewer
3DA.app is hosted through IONOS. The hosting service may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and timestamps, to deliver and protect the website and analysis endpoint. IONOS documents access-log retention of up to eight weeks for web hosting contracts purchased before July 21, 2026, and daily webspace backups retained for 14 days for Linux Web Hosting. We have not verified which logging regime applies to this account or whether provider backups cover the analysis service’s operational state outside the webspace. Provider handling and retention of request bodies have not been verified. Application processing in memory does not establish the provider’s retention practices. See IONOS’s log-file guidance and webspace backup guidance. The site does not add advertising or analytics trackers. Files opened in the viewer are processed locally in your browser; their contents are not uploaded to our server. Closing or replacing the file releases the viewer’s temporary in-memory data.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive the address, message, and any attachments you send. We use them to respond and resolve your request, and retain correspondence only as needed for support and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Please avoid sending private scans unless they are necessary for your question. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided by contacting us. Applicable rights depend on your location; we may need to verify your request.
Children and changes
3DA does not require personal information from children and is not designed to collect it. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support address, contact us. We will update this page and its effective date when our privacy practices change.
